Castillo Perelada 3 Finques Crianza
Castillo Perelada 3 Finques Crianza is a red wine from the DO Empordà region in Catalonia, Spain, made from grapes grown on three estates: Pont de Molins, La Garriga and Espolla. The blend includes Garnacha, Samsó, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, in proportions that vary by vintage. The wine is aged for 9 to 12 months in oak barrels (70% American, 30% French Allier) before bottle maturation. Each estate has its own soil: sandy, loamy-gravel or slate. It displays a deep cherry-red colour with violet highlights and offers pronounced aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spices, balsamic herbs, gentle oak toast, and refined minerality. On the palate, it is smooth yet structured, combining lush red fruit, soft tannins, and fresh acidity, resulting in a medium to full-bodied wine with elegance and complexity. The finish is long and persistent, featuring fruit, warm spice, balsamic herb notes, and a subtle mineral touch. Best served at 16-18 °C, it pairs beautifully with grilled meats, stews, tapas, charcuterie, and mature cheeses.
