
Campagnola Valpolicella Classico Ripasso DOC
Produced by Cantina Campagnola in the Venetian Classica zone, this Valpolicella Classico Ripasso DOC blends approximately 80% Corvina and Corvinone with 20% Rondinella. The wine undergoes refermentation on fresh Amarone pomace, enhancing its body, color, tannins, and aromatic complexity. It matures for 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by several months in bottle. Exhibiting a deep ruby hue with violet reflections, it offers a complex bouquet of ripe and dried red fruits, cherry jam, spice, and subtle floral or walnut notes. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and smooth, with flavors of cherry compote, blackberry, toasted wood, and a bittersweet finish marked by balanced acidity and polished tannins. Ideal served at 17–18 °C, it pairs well with pasta, risotto, grilled meats, game, and aged cheeses.
