This rare single malt is produced at the Penderyn Distillery, which takes its name from
the village in which its situated in the Cynon valley. The first legal distillery in Wales
since 1894, independent expressions from this distillery are exceedingly rare making
this bottling a unique find. Aged in refilled bourbon barrels from the Buffalo Trace
distillery and finished in Madeira wine barrels, Tan Y Ddraig translates to “fire of the
dragon” as the dragon is the national symbol of Wales.
