Mackmyra “Ultra Rök” Swedish Single Malt Whisky, 9 years

A smoky favorite. Our whiskey is matured for 9 years in American oak barrels. The inside of the barrel was previously burned with a gas burner which created a layer of activated charcoal. The charcoal layer looks like alligator skin due to its cracks. Therefore, the process is called Alligator Char. The charcoal layer in the barrel and the strong peat and smoke aroma make this whiskey a tasty and noble treat. "Rök" in Swedish means smoky and this whiskey is extremely smoky! In fact, it is a whiskey that can definitely take on Peated Scotch.
